My name is Donna Whalen and I live in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area with my husband Dwayne and my beautiful daughter Hannah MengLi. We also have several fur-children--- three Labradors named Jake, Bogart and Ebony, and an adorable mutt named Kirby. I am a part-time critical care nurse, and work in the CCU/Open Heart Surgery Recovery area of a large metropolitan hospital.

I started scrapbooking in 2004 while working on the adoption paperwork for our daughter Hannah. I wanted to document our life before her, the process of adopting her and ultimately her life with us. Needless to say, that one little project (the adoption book) turned into an obsession. Scrapbooking is a natural combination of my love for photography, writing and art. My style has evolved a bit and I love to try new things, but in the end it always comes down to the photos and the memories for me.

We adopted our daughter when she was 13 months old and she has given me a whole new reason to scrap! Her growth, emotionally and physically, mesmerizes me. She is a constant source of inspiration and joy. She is almost three now and is keeping our house full of love and laughter.

When not scrapping, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, cooking, playing with our dogs, gardening, camping and hiking. I need to be outdoors and be connected to nature and we spend lots of our vacation time outside.

My involvement with the Scrap Muse design team is the best gig ever! I love the fabulous kits and the fun and talented women get to work with.
